Born near the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden, Charlotte Hussein is a London-based contemporary artist whose work is deeply influenced by the raw, remote landscapes of her Scandinavian childhood.

Working from her studio in West London, Charlotte creates abstract works distinguished by their intensely tactile, highly textured surfaces. Built through layers of mixed media and pigment, her paintings have an almost geological quality, at times evoking sand, weathered rock or woven tapestry. Natural and sometimes unexpected, clashing colour palettes create further depth and tension, while the relief-like surfaces catch the light and reveal new details as the viewer moves around them.

A graduate of London College of Fashion with a degree in Art and Design, Charlotte works with galleries, collectors and luxury hospitality clients internationally. Her paintings have been exhibited in the UK and internationally and are held in private collections around the world.
